Apart from a TEFL qualification, Nigel has a Degree in Mechanical Engineering, a Post Graduate Certificate of Education and a Masters Degree in Education. He started teaching in 1983, and continues to be an enthusiastic teacher and learner. His main hobby is sailing, but also loves walking, cycling, music and cooking. During the summer months Nigel’s boat is moored on the creek, so there is always the chance that you can join him for a sail, or you can do an English with Sailing week.
Sarah has a Degree in Fine Art and a Post Graduate Certificate of Education and has been teaching since 1984. Sarah paints and teaches in almost equal measure, but also loves to garden and walk. If you paint, Sarah will be more than happy to set up an easel for you to work on, or you can do an English with Art week.
Together we have an active life which includes being very involved with the local community. We keep chickens, regularly go to the theatre, swim in the sea from our local beach, ride our tandem, and of course enjoy the company of our dog Sandy.

Home tuition Programmes for Adults (18+)
We offer levels from elementary to advanced, leading to an exam (taken in your own country) or informal learning tailored to your needs. We will work on speaking, listening, reading and writing, and any specialist vocabulary you need.
We can ensure that you improve your language for social, business, or pleasure at every level and for all situations.
We can give you a week of intensive ‘formal’ lessons, or just let you pick up language at your own pace as you experience living in a home and country whose first language is English.
Let us know precisely what your needs and expectations are before you arrive and we will ensure that you spend the time as you choose to.
